Picked it up yesterday,took it home, took it apart cleaned it, re-oiled it. Took it to the range with 100 rounds 5.56 winchester usa 55gr FMJ. Loaded like shit, Some fellow shooters saw me and had to know what was up. They came over,looked over the gun for me and he asked if he could throw some rounds into it, I said sure. He put Remington .223 UMC and they shot perfect.They found pity on me and spared me 40 rounds of Black Hills .223 52g FMJ. (Great guys!) Loaded them into a 30 round aluminum and the 10 round steel which came with it. Never had a problem with those. I was very agrivated that my lower receiver says 5.56,is a USA made gun, But cant accept american made 5.56... Anyone else have this problem? Very bad first impression considering the gun and ammo are both U.S made. I plan on buying a wide variety of 5.56 and just put 20 rounds through and see what's good.

I hear those steel casing arent too good for Western Guns. I had a SKS before and fed Wolf 7.62 through it all day (Just sold 470 rounds on this forum.). I know the Wolf Military Classic doesnt use a steel casing. I kind of bought it to shoot 5.56 not .223, Will be really sad and most likely sell if It doesnt feed any 5.56 at all.

is military classic just surplus old style laquer? to be honest I only fired 530 rounds of wolf in 1 day with a SKS, no problems at all... The most reliable source via internet I could find is: http://ammo.ar15.com Q. Is Wolf-brand (or other steel-cased) .223 ammo okay to shoot in my AR15?

See if you can or can find someone to check the OAL of the ammo. There are VERY few reason why ammo won't load in an AR mag. Something just isn't right, you shouldn't have any problems loading the ammo especialy in an Armalite.

Sorry, Dont have any more of that ammo or any of the casings. Im gonna hit the range this weekend, if this problem persist with any other ammo, I will definatly hit you up for advice. Thanks Rich for the offer never the less.

i have some of that military and reg black box look the same to me. I had some problems in my armalite like yours with the old wolf that had that heavy laquer but the new stuff feeds great. i think the new wolf ammo in brass comes in white boxes.

I have shot many rounds of those eastern block Laquer ammo, but never had an issues with my current AR.
Or SKS or AK that I previously owned.
Or in any of my pistols.

I have to admit, that I'm somewhat skeptical about Olympic's claim of laqure melting in chamber causing feeding issue..
This may be an issue with full auto gun, but most of us shoots semi-auto only, and there for I can't see that it gets that hot to the point where laqure would melt away in split second where in contact with chamber.
I could see if you shoot like 100rds full auto, and then let it chamber a round, and instead of shooting, let the round sits there for a while, "May be" laqure would melt enough to cause an issue...

I mean if you ever torch the empty laqure case with lighter, it takes alot of heat for it to melt....
I would think dity gummed up chamber from corrosive primer would cause more of issue then laqure IMO.

Just my opinion..
