Soberbyker's right! If you're carrying for defense then you should be practicing with both hands. You never know when a bullet, knife or other is going to disable your shooting hand and if you're not proficient with the other hand you may be in a world of hurt!

Actually I think I did try shooting "weak hand"(but is it really?) once and not accurate but was able to stay on the target at 25feet.

When I was practicing dry firing, I noticed left handed is more comfortable. Everything lines up without feeling like my wrist is stressed on my support hand.

If you're stressing your wrists, you're doing something wrong. I'm cross dominant. I shoot pistols right handed, and I sight with my left eye. It's not a big deal.

you could just be right handed but prefer to hold the gun with your left hand. i am left handed but when i am throwing a ball i throw righty, not that i can't throw lefty, i always throw righty maybe because a glove on my right hand feels weird. anyway, with guns i shoot left handed rifle and pistol. its weird.

I'm cross-dominant as well (right handed, left eye). I was actually taught to shoot (pistol) with both eyes open so that, when in a self-defense scenario, I maintain maximum peripheral vision. I still maintain good accuracy at distances up to 15 yds.

I always tell people to do what feels natural to them and still allows them to hit their target reliably.

Wow! Guess I'm not the only one who has to do that!
