I always said that if they(Whoever "they" is)ban guns, "they" will need to come to my house and take them, I won't take them to "them".

I could say all kinds of things. Truth is, I don't know how it may play out.

The citizens of New Orleans handed them over. I don't recall any shouts for revolt.

Since I was the one who allegedly suggested that I would shoot it out with the SWAT team I think i'll weigh in. What I actually said was that a SWAT team would be met with the same weapons they are using against me. That being said my distinct hope and prayer is that it never comes to that, and if it does then I sincerely hope that the LEO/Military wise up and refuse to follow the orders to disarm the citizenry, that being said I'm a realist and believe that the VAST majority would comply with the orders to go door to door stealing the peoples firearms and violating their rights without a 2nd thought. As for me, I guess none of us truly know what would happen until it actually occurs (i.e. the ninjas are coming crashing through the door), but I will say that there are a few things which I consider worth fighting, killing and dying for. Liberty is one of them, and I firmly believe Liberty cannot be secured without a properly armed/informed citizenry. I believe that I have learned the lessons of history well enough to know that once citizens allow themselves to be disarmed that tyranny and all other forms of oppression follow closely behind. So yes I believe I would make a stand and fight, and I would probably lose that fight, but I would rather die fighting for what I believe in than live as a serf. I hope that ALL of the gun owners in America take the lessons of history to heart...SEMPER VIGILANCE!!!

Of course, most will hand them over. Only a small percentage will not.

Say, only 3% chooses to fight. Anyone want to to the math on how many armed fighters that is? Suffice to say, it is greater than the total number of military members on duty now. And many of those members will be on our side.

It'd get ugly, very ugly very fast.

I will give em the select few weapons that are either broken or won't suite the new situation at hand to get them off my doorstep, then go dig up the rest out of the yard and meet up with everyone else!!!!

Likewise.......It would only take the story of a SWAT team or two being wiped out for things to go the other way as well. People tend to like to join the side they think will win. Just make it a point to make things public and decisive. Leave no doubt that what they are doing is wrong and that they will pay the price. This would bring others who were on the fence into the game so to speak.

Like some have said before the hardest thing would be getting like minded people together. Only under certain circumstances will one man have a chance against an entire SWAT team or National Guard squad and opening your front door when they are all out there is not it. People will have to get a plan together with others before it all starts going down and stick to it!

And lets not forget about the undercovers that will be running around. There will be tons of them running around pretending to be on our side. How are they gonna be weeded out?

If something like this were to happen trust me the guns would not be the only thing to go.....just the first. It would only get worse once they are gone. If you did choose to resist have no illusions......you would have to leave what you know behind. You can't stay at your house. They already have a list and you are already on it. You would have to leave your home and move your family out as well. They will be counting on your desire for material things above your freedom. Which one you choose is up to you.

Just remember this one thing......everyone is gonna die one day...........when your time comes how do you want to remeber your life? Your life can mean more than just a lifetime of working to retire on your knees.

Lets all just hope that it never comes to this and we are all just being paranoid.
