I totally agree just another scumbag that no one would miss. I never want to have to do it but you come in to my house attack me with a knife and you are going to eat a 230grain hydra shock. My family and my self and last off my property will never fall into the hands of a scumbag like that this I can promise you. Is blood hard to get out of a carpet hell yes, does it beat going to your own funeral your damn right it does!!!!

Except for his Son. He may have been legal but it would always take an emotion toll. The jolted awake from a dead sleep, sometimes thinking he sees the face of the deceased in a crowd, the lingering thoughts of "was there a better way to do it". Again, we would all like to think that if the moment should ever arise, we would come out shining and fit. Some do and some don't. I have spoken with many individuals that have used lethal force, Military, LE and civilian. All are good with what they did, however, they say it takes time to get past the "shock" of it.

As to the OP, God bless your son! He has proved he is not a lamb for slaughter.

Be safe.

Scott

You are correct about how people deal with it differently.
I had a situation, not firearm related, got over it.
The guy was an idiot, got what he deserved.
Knowing that helps alot!

Make a note-condition 3 doesn't work when you busy fighting someone. Eventually he disarmed the guy, who kept asking for the keys to my son's car. Make what seems to be a long stroy short, the guy ran from the apartment and was soon caught by the cops, only after he got the taser gun from one and used it on her, then banged her head off the patrol car and tried to steal it. Boy now knows that you always carry with one in the chamber
First off KWML welcome to the forum. Glad you joind up here. There are a ton of good folks on this forum. Hope to see you stick around.
Secondly glad to hear your son is OK. I saw this story on the news last night and it made me finch. (got to say the best part of the peice was the dudes who jumped in to help the cop. They are some upstanding people).
Third pat yourself on the back for raising a strong son who refused to be another victim of crime in our area. Thank him for me.
If your son has not had any formal handgun self defence class that may be a good gift for you to give him. Sounds like he held his own. Glad he was armed. Also sounds like a good no shoot. I agree that he would have been well with in his rights to shoot that man dead (sounds like the perp has more than a few screws missing and I hope he does not get out for a wicked long time). It is good that he did not shoot when the man fled and that he involved the police ASAP. Again pat yourself on the back for raising such a clear thinking son. Good luck to him and yourself.

He made it out with a few scratches and bruises and a fat lip. The other guy looks worse. One article said he was stabbed several times but not really. Some deep marks on the leather jacket and a slice or two in his t-shirt. He did good but he was also very lucky.

I am sorry to ask but what does it mean to be a troll? I hear the term used but i don't know what it means.

I am not a big computer user so i don't get all the lingo.
