Default I think i have a problem

Since I turned 21, FEB 6th, i have obtained my my LTCF and have purchased 2 handguns. I seems to be going to the range atleast once a week, and shooting 350+ rounds per month. Im debating buying another handgun right now again. I also seem to be finding myself educating anyone i come into contact to about firearms and carrying, if they seem inquisitive or ask. Im also on these boards 24/7 it seems like. Are these signs of some sort of gun addiction?

Well you've completed step one, Admitting you have a problem all on your own. Good for you. Now what you need to do is find a fellow sufferer and get some help. Unlike other addictions this one will only be cured by constant exposure with friends. So find some friends and get back out there.

Well, I think it's human nature. You have found something that interests you, and excites you, and you've thrown yourself into it head-first. Tell your G/F that the novelty will wear off after a while, and you'll naturally calm down a bit. Maybe she's also feeling a bit jealous, as you're spending a lot of time looking at guns and thinking about guns. She sees this as competition, and the time you're spending with your guns could be time spent being with her and thinking about her, which is also normal behavior. Now, i don't really see it as a problem unless you're canceling plans with her to do something she likes, just so you can go shooting or to a gun show, or whatever. It's like any other hobby, ya found something ya dig, and you go overboard a bit. But, like i said, you'll calm down after a while, trust me. Take the G/F out to dinner tomorrow night and DON'T TALK ABOUT GUNS !!!!!!!!!!! Maybe let her know that she has NO competition. She'll dig that.

I've been married twice, I know these things.
