Default Concealed weapons revocation

Hi. My name is Dan Nephin. I'm an Associated Press reporter. I'm trying to get an official with this group to help me with a story I'm working on about a Crawford County man who had his concealed weapon permit revoked. He's appealing. Says he doesn't know why.

Sheriff didn't give a reason other than the guy's "character and reputation is such that you would be likely to act in a manner dangerous to the public."

I can be reached at 412.281.3747. Looking for how common/unusual this is and concerns, if any, from this group. Thanks.

Thanks for visiting our forum! If you ever plan to return you should consider quickly registering for a forum account, especially if you're in Pennsylvania. It's simple to do and best of all free. Your very welcome.

Meanwhile, in the event you have not seen it already, there is a running conversation on the incident here:
http://www.pafoa.org/forum/concealed...evocation.html

Obviously this is just conversation and not any official stance of PAFOA but an interesting read none the less.

I'll take a look at the thread, but, hopefully, an organization official will call me.

I'm not allowed to post my stories, but assuming I do write one, it'd be easy to find by Googling my last name and words such as permit, sheriff, revoke and Young. If someone posts the link to my story, well, that's done all the time.

I have hunted. Not in years. Fish like crazy though. I don't want to post anymore about it, because then my objectivity could be called into question.

I have responded to Mr. Nephin via email.

I will be closing this thread just so we do not get discussions about this case in multiple places.
