Default Vehicle securement options

Looking for securement options for my wife. Pistol safes or lock boxes?
Vehicle is a small SUV. Her carry guns are Glock 36, Ruger SP101, soon to add Ruger LCP .380 Auto.

What do you guys recommend?
Thanks.

Ive been thinking the same thing...as i like to carry to work but when i enter work i cannot carry and forces to leave my piece in the car. I have been locking it in the glove box, but i know that not a solution. I work late hours sometime till 3am I cannot not afford not to carry to and from work.

I was able to secure my pistol with a belt holster and belt rigged under the seat. It is readily accessible to only myself, and no one else can see it or access it... even a passenger.

This one looks like a winner:

I was too tight on cash at the time for the above safe, so I bolted and tack-welded one of these to my seat frame:

I have a center of mass safe, I would trust it for a quick smash and grab depending on how prepared the thieves where, i'd imagine some bolt cutters will take care of the cable pretty easily. But unless your car is bolted to the ground, really no vehicle gun safe is fullproof. depending on the car model they may have one that is made for the center console.

I reccomend not securing it n your car ever. I also work at a place that prohibits weapon in the building. I take my gun off my belt, put it inot my back-pack and place it in my locker. I will never leave my weapon in the car. So what if its in a safe, if they steel the whole damned car, they can most likely open the safe later, at there own leisure.

Just my .02

That's certainly a valid point, and it's great if one has a locker or other place inside the building to safely store a weapon. However, if one is left with a car as the only option, it's better to keep it in a safe than to go unarmed for the day.

And if one does everything possible to keep the gun/safe out of plain view, I can't really see how they're morally or legally responsible in the event someone steals the car. It's kind of like if someone gets shot for trying to kill you... the criminal initiated the bad act, and even though you did something that led to harm, you didn't initiate the interaction. Yeah, it's not good that your gun was stolen when your car was stolen but hey... what are you gonna do? Your car was stolen.
