What a load of crap, the commonwealth doesn't require an interview for LTCF and its stupid to waste time and money on something which CANNOT affect the outcome of your application (PA is shall issue, provided you pass background check). To me this is just a way which Phila. makes the process more difficult, I live in Bucks Co. and I filled out the application, got my background check, took the pic., paid the fee and was out the door in 45 minutes.

Damn. It just seems every day I get more and more glad I don't live in Philly.

They ask you a series of questions in Philadelphia. Half are the regular "have you ever been hooked on crank" questions, and the other half are questions that they really shouldn't be asking you. I got stuff like, "have you ever been involved in a civil lawsuit?"

What the hell does that have to do with the price of tea in China?

I had the opportunity to speak with the Captain of the permit unit and a deputy mayor of Philadelphia (under Street) about these unnecessary questions. The response I got from the Captain was that it aids in their "investigation" and they will reject permits for refusal to answer. The Deputy Mayor was wholly unpleasant. I told her that, while they're at it, they should make us sign declaratory statements saying we agree firearms are a collective right and not an individual one. She told me that "we're confident in our study of the case law that it's a collective right".

Hahahaha.

I was just happy I wasn't fired for that incident since I was on the clock, but they opened up Pandora's box by having that seminar in the first place.

You mean they don't ask... "Did you ever pick your feet in Poughkeepsie?" (from The French Connection movie)

out the door in 45? Is that permit in hand? is bucks really fast for processing? I'll probially get mine from the levittown office. Thats funny philadelphia asks you more questions than other counties. That city really loves pushing their luck... bc bb guns aren't firearms... they banned them.. same with stun guns... I carry my stungun everywhere outside of philadelphia... I'm suprised they didn't restrict mace yet.
