So this rifle went from

NOTHING:

To design of the lower:

to some upper parts from jaybell

toss a stock and a trigger set from Cheesey in there

the lower was forged and shipped to Todd @ Gunrunners

Rest of LPK parts to compliment the trigger and the grip from todd were added along with the rest of the stock/buffer parts

Then the forearm came

Then finally the barrel/gas tube

Then I took about 45 minutes and completed it:

Then I took my $20 on sale rifle case and made it a little more AR friendly by cutting out a square for 8 mags and then lining the bottom with foam.

I'll give you guys one last image once my sling and new foam and rail panels arrive.

Finally got around to ordering the front sight stuff, a national match black leather sling, the yhm 4 rail sling swivel stud and the peel washer.

They let me know they were out of replacement foam pieces for the moment so I decided to just stick with mine or use paracord instead.

OK...just to save you some trouble.....

You put the whole peel washer on the first time and see how the flash suppressor indexes. If it doesn't line up right you peel some layers off the washer. You do this with a razor blade and by hitting the washer with a little heat from a lighter.

I use some loctite and torque to about 10-15lbs. Some CMP guys go 5lbs. Cranking it on HARD will only hurt accuracy.

You would have save me trouble if del-ton had sent me the right order.

I ordered a peel washer and Im looking at a regular ol washer..I tried heating it up with a lighter but there is definitely no peeling going on (tried assisting it witha razor blade like you mentioned too)

Del-ton also took the liberty of deciding that the front sight spring/detent werent what I need and sent me a selector/safety detent and selector spring instead.

I am quite frustrated.

The DPMS NM sling I got is nice though. I got it installed to the FF tube pretty quickly and got the loop sized up for my bicep and all that...so at least that went well.

Peel washers are silver, crush washers are typically black. Peel washers can be stubborn. I vised mine and then heated it and got an edge started.

I have an extra one of each if you PM me an address.

I'll give the peel another try then...I dont have a vise right now so Vice grips and a piece a leather will have to suffice.

If it doesnt turn out well after work tonight ill shoot you a PM.

Thanks!

It turns out I really night an AR front sight tool. I was shooting about 12" low when I took it out today (since I finally got the front sight in)

I compensated by aiming higher and was making groups...for offhand...not bad...just need to get the sight tool so I can actually aim.

You only need a paper clip and a small screw driver (eyeglass type) to adjust the front sight. Use the paper clip to push down the detent and the small screwdriver to rotate the sight. Try rotating it down one full revolution for your 12" low, then check your point of impact and re-adjust.
