So, as long as the Wicen's make the necessary safety precautions no civil suit will be filed against them, since the DA told him no criminal charges are being filed against any of the parties involved.

It seems that for the most part this story has come to its conclusion.
I hope for everyone on your side's sake, it is. But just as I don't stake my future on Obama's message of "hope", I wouldn't do it here, either. Have you spoken to his wife? How do you know she won't sue you? She has that right. Even if her husband liked you and decided not to.

I know its tempting to breathe a sigh of relief and thank whatever Higher Powertm you believe in that you two just dodged a shitpile. People change their minds. This community seems to have an agenda aimed at getting rid of that range. The fact that the range owners have not contacted you to compare notes, close ranks, or even to coordinate anything bothers the hell out of me. I'd be very nervous that if anything does gain traction on this that they'd be tempted to throw you under the bus and distance themselves from you.

That's just not true. There is every reason in the world to involve the shooters in what's going on. The absence of communication is quite disturbing.

Again, I hope this turns out well for you. I hope I'll be able to collect Social Security when I retire, too. I don't mean to sound negative on this. But I'm not sure you comprehend the gravity of the situation and the dynamics of the history I understand operates out there in that community. I know you're happy this appears to be going away quickly. Let me suggest while it appears that way, you want to make sure it does.

I think you're in over your head, and going this alone might prove to be a mistake in the long run.

OK. That's the end of my meddling. I wish you the best.

Well, I know for a fact that the homeowner has been reading these posts, maybe he can jump in to share his thoughts. As far as his wife suing, I don't see that happening, I believe Rich to be sincere in what he told me.

Now as far as the Wicen's go, I hope they take the necessary precautions to make their range safer and not just blow this off. By the looks of this picture it doesn't seem like they've done anything so far.

If they would try to "throw me under the bus" for them not watching 2 shooters at their range and blowing off their "rules" because it was just 2 of us there, well, that wouldn't look too good for them.

Like I said until I hear otherwise, this seems to be over in my book.

Philly, I'm glad things seem to be going well on your end, and I hope they continue to do so. Unless bullfrog can offer up some reason why he seems to know how things are going in the community, then I would ignore him.

This thread seems to have come to as much of a conclusion as there is going to be so I'm closing it at the request of the original poster.
