Default Why do you love/hate PA?

I figured I would start a different type of thread. Let us know why you love or hate this state. It doesn't have to be 100% gun related.

I love this state beyond my greatest expectations of it. I use to live in NY. This place has great gun laws.Breath taking landscapes. Many different animals. Nice people and a very different way of life. I am sure there are some things that are not great but I haven't found them yet. If PA had the ocean it would be 100% Now I would rate it 99.99%.

Love the fairly gun-friendly laws (with the glaring exception of Philly and Pittsburgh). Absolutely DETEST the winters! (Hey, I'm originally from California wine country....we don't DO snow there!)

Hmm..bad timing. Taxes are soon due and elections too. I plan to move to Texas when the rest of the country goes to crap. :P

Folks that drink don't like the State Store system, businesses chafe under the blue laws. These make PA look backwards, in some respects.

Personally, I think PA should have thrown the auto pollution inspections out the window when it was finally established the pollution was coming not from PA, but a neighboring state. Just another example of California hijacking the US in terms of auto standards & emissions.

As far as gun laws, it's tough to beat. It can be done, but the states that are gun-friendlier are few.

i like philadelphia, definetly the most historic in usa.
i like the mountains, the 4 seasons, the gun laws

it would be awesome if we had a beach, or a clean clear water one close.

i think arizona would be an awesome state to live in though

PA is great for firearm ownership and the people are great in the Pittsburgh region.

What's not to like? Well, some of the smaller cities are VERY closed off to outsiders and the wildlife management is poor.

Just a few thoughts to chime in with before calling it a night.

*The historic dirstrict in Philadelphia (Old City). I used to be a horse & carriage driver out there and give history tours to people. There is a LOT of very, very cool stuff there.

*Gun Laws less restrictive than most states.

After spending the best years of my life in Southern California. What I like, PA is GREEN. the hills. The clear streams and rivers.

What i don't like is the political fact that the rest of the state is being dragged around kicking a screaming by Pittsburg and Philly. As I tell my friends, Philly would best serve the state as a smoking hole in the ground. Philly is to PA what NYC is to NYS.
