CCW Friendly (or unfriendly) businesses across the state
I have "heard" of several businesses and other venues that are not CCW friendly, but very few post as such. The only place I have noticed locally (in Pittsburgh) that actually posts "no firearms permitted in store" is the Good Year store at the Monroeville Mall. Is there a listing anywhere, or a place to post these businesses?

Gander Mt. in Scranton has a sign at the front of the store "requiring" all firearms and bows to be checked at the desk.......eeeeeeeeeeeeyeah......

This applies to firearms and bows being brought in for service. The sign at my local store notes that "CCW permit holders" are excluded. I've also OC'd at my Gander Mountain without incident.

How is a business CC friendly or unfriendly? My understanding is that if a gun is concealed, then it is... concealed.

They can still have an opinion on it.

I think it's more of a principal thing, IE: boycott. Not doing biz w/anti-carry folks.
I know that Red Lobster and TGI Friday's both have corporate policies that prohibit carrying in their restaurants. Including patrons.
Funny thing is I OC'd in TGI's before I was aware of this policy. :) No problem... Guess the employees aren't aware of the policy, or didn't care ;D

I think red lobster is owned by the same company as smokey bones, olive garden, and bahama breze. If so even though I'm not much for the olive garden I LOVE smokey bones and have carried there on several occasions. I keep meaning to ask the information ladies at the mall about thier firearms policy. It blows my mind that after all the mall shootings alot of them still won't allow licensed citizens to carry there.

If you OC there, I'm sure you'll find out very quickly if they have a "victim disarmament" policy that they enforce. :)
