Default Recommend a good/cheap BB Gun?

My trusty Crosman 66 Powermaster finally crapped out after 15 years. I went and got a new one yesterday and it is total garbage.

The front sight is huge and canted to boot. I put the scope on and it shoots pellets almost ok but BBs have an 8" spread at 20 yards. The barrels are no longer rifled!

In the good old days (ie. 2 weeks ago) I could hit a coke can 15/15 times with my old one. Now I'm better off throwing the BBs!

If anyone has a current production multi pump BB repeater they recomend, I'm all ears. I'm shooting in a basement so I don't want lead pellets or anything rediculously powerful so I guess that rules out break barrels.

Thanks

What did you buy?

I picked up a Crosman (I forget the model number) from Wal-Mart I think it was $50+

I think it was somewhere around 660 or 720 FPS it was pump non c02 after a little tweaking of the included/mounted scope I was able to hit bottles @ 100+ft consistently. I also have vid of me popping off a milk jug at 150+ft

I always had good luck with Crosman ever since I was a kid. I had the 766 American Classic (I think that was the number) and what a gun that was. I could shoot the nuts off a fly at...well, ok...maybe it wasn't THAT great but it was an exceptional gun for the money. I also had the CO2 powered 38T revolver and that was quite accurate too.

I see that they make the 2100 Amercian Classic now which is apparently the newer version of the one I have. According to their website, the barrel is rifled on that one but many of their lower cost pump guns are smooth bore.

I picked two of these up for me and my step son to plink with. Seems very accurate. I had the crosman when I was a kid, loved it. This one is just as good. And the Barrel is still rifled.

I own several Gamo air rifles..... bad to the bone.... I have a shadow1000 I picked up fairly cheap ... it shoots 1000 fps and is great for rodent controll....they also have higher velocity models... they are all awesome and last forever

What's wrong with the old one? Its hard to find something on one of the old guns that cant be fixed with an oring or new valve bit.

You cant go wrong with an old Sheridan BlueStreak... brass barrel, hand pumped, smooth trigger and 22cal to boot.

And Tim MacMurray does some FINE work with them getting high velocities out of em. you can usually find them used for 50 + bucks.

It just went all weak suddenly. Took 10+ pumps to do what it used to do in 2. I took it apart to troubleshoot but not on my workbench and not very carefully. People came over that night and I think lost at least one small part.

The new one I bought is pictured here as the "Powermaster 664SB" but on the box they've gone back to calling it the "66 Powermaster".

Might try to find a Crosman 2100 or check out that Remington. I also like the looks of this Daisy with peep sights but it's not a repeater and might be a little too pricey.

I concur. Had one as a kid, and bought one for varmint control recently.

Daisy Powerline 880 with Daisy 4x15 scope and ammo - yours for about $35 from any store.

The Remington Is actually made and distributed by crosman, its the same exact thing as the 2100 so you can't go wrong with either one.
