Sam's Club, yes.
I have been asked to stop and show my receipt at both WalMart and Sam's Club in Dickson City.

I love the look of shock and bewilderment when I reply "No Thank You" and just keep walking with a smile on my face. I have never been chased or had that yellow marker bounce off the back of my head as I walk out.

They can't arrest you for not showing your reciept. They can ban you from the store yes, but there isn't anything illegal about saying no..

I keep meaning to say no and see what happens, but it's always really sweet old ladies that ask me, and I just don't have the heart to give them a hard time. lol

Plus.. Being banned from the Walmart would suck to epic degrees..

Indeed he did, I think I will call Walmart out on this via email. If no response I will make a phone call.

Something about saying "FEDERAL LAW" when there is actually no such law doesn't sit right with me. You just can't just make up FEDERAL LAW to suit a whim.

One time I had a guy tell me I couldn't carry in a commercial vehicle, FEDERAL LAW! Let's see the code.

This shit pisses me off, I will report back.

Is it possible that Dunham's closed at 9:00, and this is what he referred to? Ask if their lack of knowledge about the time the system is available is worth losing a gun sale.
No, he said if he started the call at just before nine, and it went over, the call wouldn't be finishable, and I'd have to come back to finish it.

The store DID close at 9, but his manager told him to start it and he'd have no problem if he stayed a few minutes late to finish up, since he was going to be there for a while still.

A few quick scans of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (http://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/) website and I can't find anything on this, however there are contact phone numbers if someone with more time than I have at the moment wants to call and ask about this.

our local wall mart (mill hall pa) has a sign that say they cant sell handgun ammo to anyone under 21 because of federal law, so when i buy 9mm they ask if it is handgun or not and i say no and they sell it to me. unfournatuly there little computer dose not give them that option for 38 special. but sometimes i get away with it anyhow

nothing beets the time i went to wallmart and got two bags of lime 9mm bullets and no trespassing signs. if your wondering all 3 had nothing to do with each other i use hps to enforce the signs.

I've seen those same signs in the Mallyworlds in Md when I lived there, but never here in PA. Then again in York the walmart does not sell firearms anymore. I guess if they put up a signs that says its the law, less people will question it. Personally I would question the signe that read " our store policy is that we will not do such and such after such and such hours". A sign that says LAW will get a " are you serious, thats the law" from me.

Bill summed it up, there is no law. Observe each state's carry restrictions as you would in your personal vehicle.

OK, not sure about your truck. But any time we are driving a STATE vehicle. It is considered the same as being on STATE property. As such, we have been warned about not having any beer in the vehilces even if we are just transporting it to our hotels. We were told that being in STATE vehicle is the same as standing on the Property they own. So, you have to abid by those rules for that area.

Course this is just what I have been told. But I tend to believe it since the vehicle is a STATE vehicle.

So, I wonder if a FEDERALLY owned truck is considered Federal Property with an extension like the STATE looks at their vehicles. Very interesting. But I can't answer that one for you.
