Default "N Range" Indoor Target Range

I came across this the other day and was wondering if anyone had seen or heard of this. It looks kinda interesting.

http://gadgets.boingboing.net/2008/0...oor-targe.html

"The "N Range" Shooting System is an indoor firing range, tastefully concealed in a wooden armoire. While the target is steel-backed to absorb any impact, the manufacturer requires the use of a custom round that is low noise, low smoke, and non-lethal. Where's the fun in that?

A basic model will set you back $1,300, but the "Executive" model pictured is $3,500."

The main page of the company is http://www.nrange.com/

I can kinda see what you are saying, but what grabbed my attention was the "indoor firing range" part.

Apparently, the only thing expelling the "bullet" out of the gun, is a primer...

Save yourself $1190 and get a box of these - http://www.meisterbullets.com/asccus...l.9MM/513.html

Load one of these with a primer and shoot into a cardboard box.

Pellet gun works well for non-range practice too. I have one of these. Not much recoil (of course) but with the "blowback action" there is some and at least the sights move back with the slide so you can practice watching the sights get back on the target, etc. It's a blast and costs even less than a .22 to shoot a lot. Reasonably accurate up to 10 yds., which is good enough for most practice. I hang a soda can on a string at 10 yds in my basement and cut the can in half with the pellets as it swings. It can be good practice and a lot of fun.
