Default PA and TN CCW/LTCF is now MUTUAL

The AG's color coded map isn't updated, but the agreement is now listed. TN did honor PA's LTCF before, but it wasn't mutual until now.

TN's site doesn't reflect the change as of 9pm 11/28/06 - but I'm certain it will show it in the near future if our AG now lists it.

We need to keep preasure on the AG for VA, W.VA, and Ohio. I don't think we'll ever get it in MD, NJ, or NY, but at least with the first three mentioned, we will be able to drive out of the state with out having to stop at the border and secure it in the trunk.

Great concept, but it takes both states to agree to it. Ohio has to say that they will accept Pa LTCF, same with the Virginias. If those states don't agree then we stay SOL.

VA may be a given now that our AG has the ability to recognize another state's permit with or without an agreement. and I think VA's law has automatic mutual recognition once another state recognizes their even without an agreement.

WV will be a pipe dream. the problem is on WV's side. they require training and any state that they will sign with needs to require it too.

OH, not sure about them. probably same hangup as WV.

This is the issue with most states we don't have agreements with unfortunately.

On my wish list --> another color added to indicate: states that honor a PA resident's non-res FLA permit.

I be!ieve that training is good to have, but shouldn't be required. to me, it says your life isn't valued as much and not worth needing protection. ...I hope that sounded right.

i'm not required to believe in god or know how to read to carry a bible to church.

but that's just my opinion.

Eventually I plan on having all reciprocity in our database for that purpose, but probably not until I'm satisfied that we have all information directly related to Pennsylvania available.
