Have you ever had to pull your weapon?
I know I'm asking for a veritable Sh#@ storm here iwth this one, but I'm curious. To get the ball rolling I'll post the one time I've done since I stopped carrying for uncle sam.
Coming out of work late one night, I pulled onto Philidelphia Street in York city, and I guess I kinda cut the guy behind off in traffic. I gave the over the shoulder wave in an attempt to say " sorry dude, did'nt see you coming my bad". He then proceeded to follw for the length of the city all the way to carlisle rd, flash8ng his high beams, honking the horn, pulling up beside me and waving his hands, junk like that. Since the street is one way, and in a few blocks from now I was going to turn right and head up 74 to Dover I figured I'd give this kid a break and ignore him til we got to the intersection. If he headed left back into town, No big deal just some ass hole punk. If he follows me right and continued I'd call the 911 center tell'em who I am and have an officer pull him over, scenario over. Instead I get stuck at the red light at Philly and carlisle with a car in front of me, and one behind. No where to go. The kid stops short of the light and his friend gets out of the backseat and come towards me, reaching into his waistband saying some thing like " here you go motherfucker". So I grabbed my .45 glock off the seat and pointed it out the window saying "get back in the fucking car" He steps back with his hands up, saying it was " just a joke homes, chill, chill". He got back in his car, the light changed and we all left without another word said.
Scared the living shit of me. I spent the next few days thinking abut whether or not I would have been justified in shooting if he had produced a weapon or did the duty to retreat trump the threat.
Any thoughts.
