What if they outlawed carry permits?
I usually hate "what if" threads but am wondering if PA passed laws like NY & NJ would you still carry?
I'll answer first: Yes!

Re: What if they outlawed carry permits?
Nope, IF and WHEN you get caught your screwed.
Now ask me what I'll do if guns are outlawed, get a big pvc pipe, some cosmoline and burry under the watermain
Or what if I'm being stormed by the ATF?
In ground sprinkler system that sprays kerosene and a flar gun at the front door
Or my all time favorite: What if grasshoppers had machine guns?
The answer of course is that birds wouldn't mess with them.
Sorry about the tangent, but I hate what ifs too."We shoot to stop. ... Unfortunately, death can be a byproduct."

IF that happens...I will move to another state. I won't live in a state that doesn't protect it's citizens to the point where they feel safe on the streets. When the police and criminals stop carrying...I might consider retiring the holster.

Re: What if they outlawed carry permits?
win the lottery...buy an island in the carribean...declare it my own country...use the US declaration of independence and US constitution as the basis of the country/government...
and then...and here is where my country would diverge from the US...have the government actually abide by the constitution.

If we actually have a god-given right to own and bear arms...
why do we need to get down on our knees and ask for permission from our feudal lords??==============
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude than the animating contest of freedom, — go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen!”
~Samuel Adams

Re: What if they outlawed carry permits?
I view permits as begging the govt to excersize my rights. I see no need for one now or ever. SO to answer your question nothing would change except maybe my willingness to use my weapon in the defense of others. Maybe
An enemy of liberty is no friend of mine!I do not owe respect to anyone who would enslave me by government force, nor is it wise for such a person to expect it!

If you think you have the right not to be offended. I suggest you promptly purchase a toe attachment and a twelve gauge. One time use is all that is necessary.

Re: What if they outlawed carry permits?
Doubt that will happen in Pennslyvania...in my lifetime. Guess if that happened I would then have to maybe take the attitude ...don't ask --won't tell!

We have a double back up. Not only does the US Constitution give us the right to bear arms, but our state Constiution also. I think we are safe...
