Funny Phone Call to the Berks County Sheriff

One of the things I'm spending today doing is calling each sheriff department county-by-county to populate my database of permit and NFA information, my call to the Berks County Sheriff went something like this:

Me: "Hello I'm calling each Sheriff Department in the state trying to gather information on carry permits for our website"
...
Sheriff Deputy: "What website is that?"
Me: "The Pennsylvania Firearm Owners Association."
Sheriff Deputy: "Oh, I read that website."

I just wanted to share that with everyone because it really made my day.

So if you're out there deputy, thanks for your time, thanks for reading and thanks for making my day.

That's cool, should of asked him if he's registered yet, he'd make a good member.

Wouldn't that be great to have a sheriff on here as a "go to guy" for LTCF questions and the like!

Franky, I would rather have a hot stuff lawyer. Now days there are LEOs that have their degree.

He said he was not registered currently, hopefully he'll sign up and say hi, although I could understand why he might want to seperate work and play.

Dan, you need to call that guy back and find out if he's a registered member

Regardless, it's a good thing to know (being a Berks County resident) that at least one person in the Berks County Sheriff's Office is keeping up-to-date with the site.

It certainly wouldn't hurt to have a deputy who could keep us all up to date on anything that was relevant to our favorite hobby. Not to mention that it would be great to get a professional's opinion on somethings realizing that it was only an opinion at that point
