Sorry about missing the date yesterday---Old age I guess



This is one of THE dates that most can come together and recollect where they were and what they were doing.

This could be an interesting gauge of the range of ages in the Forum's membership.

Question:
Do you remember where you were when you heard about JFK's assassination or do you even remember the date?



I was at Anderson AFB in route for deployment to Nam.

I was home sick with rhuematic fever. My younger sister and I had it at the same time and neither of us could completely comprehend why our mother was crying or why the cartoons had been interrupted. It took about 20 minutes before I realized what the "man on tv" meant when he said the president had been shot.

This was 17 years before my birth, so I dont even think I was a little creature swimming inside my father's sack.

I was playing hooky pretending to be sick.

Ten years before my time, but I like to think that I have an appreciation for the impact that day had on our country.

4 1/2...all I remember was that the news came on and interruted the cartoons. I was too young to realize what was going on.

I was in 5th grade and the nuns all started crying. They took us all directly into the church.

I remember the date every year. This year, I was at a car dealership buying a car for my daughter and said, "Hey, it's Nov. 22". The salesman didn't know what I was talking about.

I obviously wasn't born.

But when I was looking at highschool open houses about 10 years ago during 6,7,8th grade, we would go to the highschool my mother went to, everytime for 3 years she would point out "this is the room i was in during sister so and so class when Kennedy was shot."
