Question Ned to know if cops can melt a gun without permission

I recently turned in my firearm due to personal reasons. It has been their a few months. I need to know if then can sell it or melt it down without my permission. Any reply to this will be greatly appreciated.

For what reason did you "turn it in"? Not sure for what reason you would give the police your firearm? That kinda determines if they can melt it down, or would even need your permission.

As far as "personal reasons" if you took a firearm to the police indicating that you were suicidal or something of that nature, odds are really good you will not have it returned and they can certainly do with it as they wish if you surrendered it to them.

If you want to try and get it returned, the first step is to ASK them to return it. Indicating that your personal reasons have passed, doctor's letter stating that you are doing better etc.

With a forum user name like "Silverspoon" it doesn't take an Einstein to figure out what this guy's problem is.

1. Wave bye-bye to your property.

2. Study grammar instead.
