Default 'Western' style rig for adolescent?

My son (age 11) has mentioned that he'd like to have a western style revolver and holster rig as the next addition to his collection (which currently outnumbers dad's!).

Any suggestions on caliber, specific models and/or places to get western style holsters/gunbelts in youth sizes?
