You’re welcome! From what I understand, Israeli society is not, quite, as tolerant of private firearms ownership as you might imagine. An Israeli citizen is allowed to own only one handgun; and, getting that handgun repaired can be nearly impossible.
(I think it has something to do with the availability of imported parts; and, this is a principal reason why Glock pistols are so very popular in Israel.)
I’ve corresponded with one IDF member who repeatedly referred to their firearm licensing agency as, ‘the ministry of annoyances’. Me? I’d very much like to visit Jerusalem, someday; I am positive, however, that I would not want to live there.
Ironically, if I had to I’m certain that, unlike the Poconos, I would be sure to carry with one in the chamber all of the time! (As I mentioned, ‘All things are relative!’)
