LAWS??? WE DON"T NEED NO STINKING LAWS!!! WE"RE THE N.O.P.D!!!!!

"A state of emergency is a governmental declaration that may suspend some normal functions of the executive, legislative and judicial powers, alert citizens to change their normal behaviours, or order government agencies to implement emergency preparedness plans. It can also be used as a rationale for suspending rights and freedoms, even if guaranteed under the constitution. Such declarations usually come during a time of natural or man made disaster, during periods of civil unrest, or following a declaration of war or situation of international or internal armed conflict." Thanks, Wikipedia.

Martial Law was never declared during Hurricaine Katrina.

I'm sure you are aware of how the NOPD royaly skull-effed the entire city. Killing and pillaging the way good pirates do.

Yes, but not legally, (and perhaps not without injury or death as a result of such an attempt).

Quote:
§6107. Prohibited Conduct During Emergency.

(a) General rule.--No person shall carry a firearm upon the public streets or upon any public property during an emergency proclaimed by a State or municipal governmental executive unless that person is:

(1) Actively engaged in a defense of that person's life or property from peril or threat.

(2) Licensed to carry firearms under section 6109 (relating to licenses) or is exempt from licensing under section 6106(b) (relating to firearms not to be carried without a license).

(b) Seizure, taking and confiscation.--Except as otherwise provided under subsection (a) and notwithstanding the provisions of 35 Pa.C.S. Ch. 73 (relating to Commonwealth services) or any other provision of law to the contrary, no firearm, accessory or ammunition may be seized, taken or confiscated during an emergency unless the seizure, taking or confiscation would be authorized absent the emergency.

(c) Definitions.--As used in this section, the following words and phrases shall have the meanings given to them in this subsection:

"Accessory." Any scope, sight, bipod, sling, light, magazine, clip or other related item that is attached to or necessary for the operation of a firearm.

"Firearm." The term includes any weapon that is designed to or may readily be converted to expel any projectile by the action of an explosive or the frame or receiver of any weapon.

LOL. You kiddn' me?

First of all, we'd be isolated. Divided and conquered. If you stood up, who else would? There would be "isolated incidents" and the rest would go according to plans.
Second, I know FEW men who would risk their family's lives over gun confiscations.

Believe me, I'd die for my rights, but it's hard to do if you know you're going to be an "isolated incident".

PA militia? *scoff scoff*

What if you need those same guns, they are trying to take away from you, to protect your family's lives? I mean arent you a sitting duck without a gun in an emergency?

So there are some rights you'd give up your life for, but only if you believed a significant number of other people die with you for the same thing?

There are things I'd be willing to die for/over. That's the case whether I die alone or not.
