I am looking for the chrome because I will most likely be carrying it in the late spring/summer. I have a summer home along the VA shore area where I live from May-August, and its really humid with salty air, so I wanted the most rust resistant finish I can get on it. I keep seeing the gun in blue and/or parkerized but never chrome.

I have both the P-3AT and the P-32 as well as Kahr PM9 and MK9 and both the .22 and 22 mag NAA mini-revolvers. All are OK but none of them are for target practice or to put lots of rounds through. Closest are the Kahrs, but even they are hard on the hand for most people.
Basically, none of these is made for either target shooting or plinking and the smaller the pistol caliber the lower the stopping power; essentially the .380 is considered minimal size for self-defense, I only have the others when there is no other option for concealment.
You could likely put five or so .22 bullets in most people and it wouldn't stop them unless you were very lucky with shot placement and studies show that even police trained in pistol handling who hit vital areas the majority of the time at the range hit their target less than 20% of the time when in a combat situation. Those of us who just practice periodically probably need a close target and an effective round more than the police do.
BTW, how are you going to get a concealed permit for VA anyhow? Is there something I don't know about?
