Obviously these are not the *official* instructions, but this is pretty much what you need to do:

Step 1: Field strip the gun:
http://guntalk-online.com/fsprocedures.htm

Step 2: Detail strip the gun just far enough to access and extract the hammer:
http://guntalk-online.com/detailstrip.htm

Step 3: Tap out the pin that is holding the hammer strut onto the factory hammer. Save pin.

Step 4: Reinstall the hammer strut and pin onto the new hammer that is included with the kit.

Step 5: Carefully place the hammer back into the lower frame without disturbing any of the other components.

Step 6: Scream and swear because you're a ham-fisted oaf and were unable to successfully swap the hammer out on the first try and now damn everything in the entire lower frame has fallen apart.

Step 7: Breathe. Follow the guide for reassembling the lower frame:
http://guntalk-online.com/detailstrip.htm#Install

Step 8: Tap out the pin that is holding the factory bolt-stop pin to the mainspring housing. Save pin.

Step 9: Reuse the pin and attach the new 2-piece bolt-stop pin assembly onto your existing mainspring housing.

Step 10: Reassemble gun the old-fashioned way one last awful time:

Crap, just field strip the gun to get started eh?

Doesn't sound like fun.

Anyway, I bought a 9.1" 2 X 6 scope and will go over the area that you have to access for the kit to work.

So I ordered some Warn lever release mounts so I can completely take the scope off for the infrequent times I will need to break apart the gun.
