Default 1986 Ruger Speed Six 357 magnum

I took my Ruger Speed Six 357 magnum (new to me Christmas present) to SPAG last night (first time shooting it), wow, great wheel gun. I shot three different types of ammo thru it.

Remington .38 special

Remington .357 Magnum, 125gr, JSP

Blazer .357 Magnum, 158gr, JHP

I started with the Blazer and thought "this ain't so bad" Then I shot the 38 special not much different, BUT When I shot the Remington 357 mag BAM, now that had quite a kick. I shot 50 rounds of each and I have to say the Blazer 357 was as light as the 38 special. I'll stick with the Remington, big flash, big bang, OH YEA. I also put a few mags thru my Kahr CW9.

The target photo below (21 feet), the right side two targets were with my Kahr, the left two and center were the Speed-Six using a mixture of Rem 357 & Rem 38 in the same cylinder(s).

Lots of fun, but using the Rem 357 mag loads it does kind of beat up your hand.

Bill

Very Nice, Good Shooting Also.

I have a Police Service Six that I like very much, It looks the same as yours except It's stainless and I had to lose the wood grips and get some rubber ones on there.

They are very nice wheel guns and I've never been a fan of revolvers, but everybody should at least own a .357 Mag Right?

Great Bill!!! I want to add one to my collection some day as well. Looks like you have a handle on shooting it too. Nice shooting.

I had 2 Security Sixes, great guns. I now have a GP 100 to replace the one that was stolen. The Security is a much better gun in my humble opinion. I am envious!
