Yeah, I think I'm taking my ball and going home too...

Even with the bickering, we did have some good points.

I really do commend you. It takes a big man to quite and admit that you were bested. However, bested by the Air Force? That's gotta sting

This letter was from a cop who was at the scene after the shooting. His name was left out to protect his identity. The letter was written to Gabe Suarez and he distributed it to his email list.

Quote:
Our first responders were on call in 6 min. The shooting was done in approx 1 minute. I walked though the grisly murder scene today. I know you have seen some nasty scenes in your time as a copper but this was indescribable.

The piece of ***** shooter who shall be eternally burning in Hell as we speak made head shots with his AK-47 on the move at 25 yards made kill shots from the 3rd level to the first and second levels shows that he was tacitcally proficient with his weapon system. The weapon was indeed and AK (NOT AN SKS) with 2-30 round mags taped in reverse. Approx 38 rounds fired in 1 min. before the coward sat down in front of customer service put the weapon under his chin and offed himself. The blood collatulation was 1 inch thick.

This jackal did a recon, unarmed, just minutes before he came up the elavator and shot a female in the head kicking off his bloody rampage. He fired in series of 3 and 4 round sequences. All the rounds were parallel to the floor, no wild shooting into the ceiling. Angels must have been watching over the children as many rounds were fired into the children section. He engaged his targets with ruthless efficiency and even made point blank range head shots into a 64 year old male hunched down covering his wife in a corner at customer service. She lived.

The first responders were irrelevant but not because they didn't run to the sounds of the gunfire and put themselves in harms way. We had good men on scene in 6 min. That brings up another issue about our sub par 911 system not getting the call out to us until 2 minutes after the first person called in. IT WAS OVER BY THEN.

I thoroughly believe in the unrreguated Miltia, they should have handled this problem but we live among Sheep as you know. Too many are too afraid to stand up to the communist, facist gungrabbers that are in positions of powers in our country. We need to have citizens armed and ready to address these types of attacks.

DECEMBER TRAINING UPDATE #5

MORE ON OMAHA
I got a great deal of mail regarding my latest article on the Omaha murders. Specifically my points on the first responder issue. Here is a note typical of the response of, well, First Responders

Here is what I wrote -

And the first responders…ah yes…the ones that arrive to save the day. Here is what the media said, “By the time police arrived they weren't sure how many shooters they were dealing with. They surrounded the mall, and once they were set up, shoppers and employees had to come out with their hands raised in the air.”

Very nice. Very nice. Thank you Mr. First responders for saving the day once again. You push for laws to take the guns out of the hands of common people and then arrive late to every single event that may have required their use. Shame on you.
Now perhaps, I was too hasty in categorizing ALL first responders under one tent. But the police establishment's stance on the "civilian" possession and carry of weapons is well documented. While the attitude of a street level officer may be much in line with our own, the attitudes of the policy makers rarely are. I recall in Ohio for example, the greatest stumbling block to be surmounted by the CCW crowd was that of their Highway Patrol!

So if you are a First Responder, AND you are in line with all good guys carrying guns anywhere they wish, then my apologies to you.

Here is one note I got -

XX wrote:

" I hope in your rant your weren't implying that all first responders would act this way. We are trained to go direct to threat, not contain and callout. We move and keep moving untill the threat is taken care of.

Also I don't know of anyone on my department except idiot commanders who push for more gun laws. I encourage all to protect themselves and their family because as police we are reactionary and can only help after the fact. Please don't portray all first responders as gun grabbing liberals. Very few actually are in my experience.

I wasn't there, I live in *****************, but I have rarely known the media to be right. Not saying they were wrong in this case but I would be wary of quoting their words as gospel. I would be surprised if a core contingent of officers didn't enter the mall and go to the threat while the rest tried to prevent a suspect from slipping away. Like I said, I wasn't there, but going direct to threat has been widely taught since Columbine.

I am a fan of your articles and appreciate the work you do but the article came off as slamming all first responders. In my opinion thats almost as bad as the libs judging all gun owners by the actions of this one turd.

Thanks,

Here was my reply

AB,

Well, I will reword...Going Direct To Threat was irrelevant.

My point is that even if you and your entire team was outside suited up and ready to fight, you still would not be able to stop this little pimple faced idiot from killing a bunch of people. First Responders are better described as the people inside who this time happened to be unarmed. Unless citizens take it into their own hands to stop pimple-faced geeks like this, these events will keep happening, and sadly, it will not matter how brave or prepared you or your guys are.

And here is an email from someone who was right there. Some of the info has been deleted to protect his identity.

Out first responders were on call in 6 min. the shooting was done in approx 1 minute. I walked though the grisly murder scene today. I know you have seen some nasty scenes in your time as a copper but this was undescribable.

The piece of *** shooter who shall be eternally burning in Hell as we speak made head shots with his AK-47 on the move at 25 yards made kill shots from the 3rd level to the first and second levels shows that he was tacitcally proficient with his weapon system. The weapon was indeed and AK (NOT AN SKS) ( have 7 AKs myself) with 2-30 round mags taped in reverese. approx 38 rounds fire in 1 min. before the coward sat down in front of customer service put the weapon under his chin and offed himself. The blood collatulation was 1 inch thick.

This jackal did a recon unarmed just minutes before he came up the elavatorand shot a female in the head kicking off his bloody rampage. He fired in series of 3 and 4 round sequences. All the rounds were parralell to the floor, no wild shooting into the ceiling. Angels must have been watching over the children as many rounds were fired into the children section. He engaged his targets with rutheless efficiency and even made point blank range head shots into a 64 year old male hunched down covering his wife in a corner at customer service. She lived.

The first reponders were irrellevent as you said but not becuase they didn't run to the sounds of the gunfire and put themselves in harms way. We had good men on scence in 6 min. That brings up another issue about our sub par 911 system not getting the call out to us until 2 minutes after the first person called in. IT WAS OVER.

I thouroghly believe in the unrreguated Miltia, they should have handled this problem but we live among Sheep as you know. Too many are too afraid to stand up to the communist, facist gungrabbers that are in positions of powers in our country. We need to have citizens armed and ready to address these types of attacks.

I must respectfully disagree with you in saying that first reponders are irrelavent. They weren't in this incident and won't be in future incidents of this type but the person at ground zero at the time of the shooting needs to be armed and ready to step up .
