Default Back by popular demand ....

Thanks, apparently there's lot of folks here who enjoy what I offer to the PAFOA, both in photo's and posts in general.

Please allow me to put what happened in perspective.

Friday I had a very bad day at work, a Murphy's Law kind of day. Hell, the whole week was a tough one. I drive a trash truck, the week after a holiday is always a tough one, everything's a day behind, add to that all the leaves finally falling off the trees and ending up in trash bags, it was a very heavy, long, tiring week for the trash business. As I often do, I came home from work looking to relax and unwind here on the forum. I have learned so much here and have had a lot of laughs too. I enjoy reading peoples experiences with firearms as well as life in general. I enjoy when a new comer asks questions that have been asked thousands of times before, the more times I read the answer the more second nature things become. I even enjoy the occasional squabbles we have, watching them run their course and most of the time ending with "agreeing to disagree".

I guess the final straw in a long week of frustrations was when I posted a few fully clothed ladies with guns in a thread called "Women & Guns" and a couple ladies decided they didn't think my photo's were appropriate in there, after all the OP said it wasn't a picture thread, and in fact it was about a magazine called "Women & Guns"

OK, fair enough, I should have respected the OP's wishes. However the finger being pointed at me belonged to a poster who on more than one occasion has thrown sexual innuendo around about a certain members Glock and other things as well. One of the problems that poster had was how the outside world would see my photo's, that if anywhere they belonged in our "Lounge". Yet all the sexual ranting they had posted was not in the lounge it was in the Shoots & Range Trips area. The hypocrisy of it all just didn't seem fair to me. I had had it with everything and vowed to never participated here again, you know the grown up version of "I'm taking my toys and going home".

You know, it always amazes me how every now and then someone will get on their soapbox when a thread gets off track, and they almost always do, and offer "How do you think the anti-gunners will react to that?" Well, you know what, it doesn't matter. The anti crowd will never see us in a good light, no matter what we do, no matter what we say, no matter how we act, they will always find us at fault. Church going, choir boys and girls, big contributors to charity and society, downright generous people they will never see, their eyes are colored with to much hate. Human beings tend to be afraid of things they aren't familiar with and often develop contempt for people unlike themselves. It's human nature. It's why the anti's will never understand we don't need more gun laws, or how laws only affect people who abide by them.

See, I went off track in my own post.

Anyway, I do enjoy this forum and I'm sorry if I occasionally offend someone, it's not done on purpose, my posts are meant to either be fun or informative. I don't wish to harm anyone and although I may not agree with, or even like, some of the folks here, I will be right here, by each and every one of you, in our fight to keep the second amendment alive, and hopefully provide a few chuckles or a little insight along the way.

Thank you to everyone who either sent me a PM or publicly said they didn't want to see me leave to forum, it felt good for sure, and I needed that.

Bill,
I am not sure what happened or what was posted, but I am glad you didn't leave the forum. This place is better with everyone here.

AMEN!
As I've said in many a thread. If I gave a flip what the anti's thought... I wouldn't own a gun.

That kind of thing always amazes me. If you're going to attack someone, make sure you have a solid idea of their intent first. No one on this earth could have possibly fathomed that you intended to offend anyone with what you posted. I would think that as long as you've been here and as often as you post, people should know your nature by now, especially those involved as they're not exactly n00bs around here either.

This is why I don't worry about my nun-punching habit, I just kinda roll with my addiction and realize that to err is to human, to sucker punch Sister Sarah is freakin hilarious. Fuck 'em if they can't take a joke.

Bill, I'm glad you decided to re-think leaving the board. No matter what was said in THE THREAD, I don't think anyone wanted you to skidaddle from PAFOA.

If I personally offended you, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to or anyone else here. Things got out of hand. Like you said, a lot of it had and has to do with perspective and we're all obviously coming from very different ones.

And if anyone here happens to think I have some double standard or I'm hypocritical, that doesn't particularly bother me. But please just PM me, call me a bitch, and get it out of your system. I don't think the board needs muddled up with any more snide comments, especially now that everyone is trying to move on from THE THREAD.
