Default Re: Anvil Arms Custom PAFOA Receivers

there are different colors of anodizing

the problem with that is there are minimums that must be met for the process, you know the more lowers you do the cheaper it is.

Black Hard Coat Anodizing (Teflon impregnated) is also the best choice for receiver parts

But if you wanna be bling blind the flat dark earth anodizing looks goldish Anodizing FDE is difficult. to look like molded parts

here are some colors that can be had from type 2 anodizing

Here is what the chemical factory says abuot it:

STAINLESS STEEL
Powdered stainless steel metal mixed with clear phenolic Moly Resin. Gives the appearance of brushed stainless steel when applied over any type of metal. A pleasantly surprising match to real stainless. Used primarily to color match small parts such as scope rings, bases, and other parts, etc. when they are not available in stainless; however, other uses include pistol frames with colored slides to create popular two tone handguns.

It seems that tomorrow (Jan. 17) is the DEADLINE to order your PAFOA lower!(to be included in the batch of consecutive numbered lowers)
Time sure flies!

From Jon's initial post, and for your convenience:
Quote:
Rules of Engagement

OK, I have just heard from Dan and his decision is:

All receivers will have the PAFOA logo as supplied by him and as will be shown in the sample later Tuesday.

There will be no “Limited Edition” markings. There will be no personalization marking, logos, or sayings on these.

I have to say I agree this will make for a very clean professional looking receiver.

After discussion with Dan, I have decided to hold and collect orders until 1/17/08 and begin processing them on the 18th. This will do 2 things, #1 it will fit into the current Anvil Arms production schedule #2 it will allow for most of you guys to get orders in so that I can give you consecutive serial numbers. Anyone ordering more than one PAFOA receiver at this time will get consecutive numbers.

After 1/17/08 your still free to order anytime but it will not be consecutive with the rest of the group.

As always, any multiple orders placed at the same time "should" be consecutive. To place orders please see the instructions on my first post on this thread.

Please get your orders in ASAP to help me keep from getting overloaded right at the end. As I get your orders I will be calling for your billing info. You will NOT be billed until 1/18/08 when we start processing and lasering the units.

SPECIAL ORDERING INSTRUCTIONS:
Send me an email to my direct email: Jon@AnvilArms.com
In the email I need the following information (Copy and paste this)
In the subject line: PAFOA ORDER
In the email:
Your full (real) name:
Your PAFOA screen name:
Your best contact phone #:
The business name of the FFL you plan to use:
The contact name at the FFL business:
Phone number of the FFL business:
The number of PAFOA receivers you want to order:
----------
The number of NON PAFOA receivers you want to order:
On the NON PAFOA receiver(s) what you want lasered - use a separate line for each one if ordering more than one:

ALSO: Be sure your FFL is given the link for the cover page so he can properly send his license to me: www.AnvilArms.com/FFL

THANKS!!!

Jon K.

I thought these were the "POOFA" lowers?

might have to cancel my order...

Been saving up some cash for the full kit and should have it after the birthday cash and my tax return. I am not compromising on what I want so it will take a little bit longer...
