Well, on the 4473 form it asks: Have you ever been convicted in any court of a felony, or any other crime, for which the judge could have imprisoned you for more than one year, even if you received a shorter sentence including probation? So, obviously you can't lie on it, or you will be committing a felony, and by saying yes, you cannot purchase a firearm.
Someone more knowledgeable than myself may be able to give you more insight on this. |

Were convicted of these crimes? Or did you plead down to something? It's what you were convicted of / plead to, not the original charges.

Juvenile records are SEALED, dont even consider them.

I was just talking to a friend from my local gun shop about a month ago about the P.I.C.S. Apperantly, you can be denied for any reason they see fit even if you have unpaid parking tickets. Say you live in Philly, aquire "Parking Tickets", decide to move to Pittsburgh, forget to pay your fine and five years later "Buy A Gun". You won't get your gun if they don't want you to have it. You then have to file a claim to see why you were denied if you are interested. I would be. Anyway, I agree with Agent Smith in your circumstance.

Details matter. Juveniles often have hearings to determine whether they are delinquent, based on criminal charges. They wouldn't be convicted of the criminal charges, just adjudicated delinquent. Older teens could face actual criminal charges, though, so it depends on what happened in court, and whether it was Common Pleas or juvenile court.
I would not lie, hoping that the records are sealed so nobody will find out about the lie. If the question is asked, either answer it honestly, or do without a gun. Don't commit another offense by lying on the form, you're an adult now and the conviction would stick. |

I am not sure on this either actually. My advice to you is if you really want to be safe and cautious about it, consult an attorney. That way, you will know better off hand if you can, and maybe he can even check for you? If you are denied, perhaps you should see if you have a case in order to get your gun rights. I would be hesitant to fill out the form without knowing for sure if what I am writing down constitutes a lie.
