Another way to collect money. I recall somewhere out west, Seattle?, they had an article and news report when 4 cameras raised 1 million dollars in fines in a year. Ya, I'm sure they are concerned about safety

Might have been NYC Delta, there were so many there you couldn't count em.
Talk about accidents? Wow! Everyone knew where they were. So the rear ending was incredible. People were actually killed. Like you said, its for safety right?

There was a government report issued last year, that said that red-light cameras increased accidents at intersections by 70%.

Yes. 70%.

Why?

Because people slam on their breaks when they otherwise wouldn't, just so they won't get auto-ticketed.

Im glad somebody out there has my safety as their #1 priority!!

The same report also said that Red-Light Cameras generate $1,000,000 per year for every 300,000 people in an area.
