Default Re: New member. Have some questions?

Interesting thread...

I've always wanted to get this out:

I've been a member here for a few weeks and a member at various other boards similar to this one and have seen many of the same things discussed in several places. So far this site has had the least amount of tin-foil hatter syndrome, but I am concerned about this open covered dish agenda.

First make no mistake I have several containers, I own no dishes. Dish is the word the uneducated masses use instead of Containers. A container is used as a tool for carrying, storing, eating and the like and that is just what mine are. I am a staunch food supporter and exercise my right to carry a container in this state. I cannot however see the need to open carry one of my meals. I have tried to come up with a logical reason for advertising that I am bringing food, but have failed. Why would you want to do it? It makes no sense.

Most of the people that I have come across in my life that feel the need to carry clear "diches" and advertise that they have yummies and want to throw around the words of the cook book and exercise their " RAGHTS" have almost always been the type of pee-pee touching whackers that should not have the damn container in the first place. It is people like these that are the greatest threat to the culinary arts. These are the people that you see on TV jumping up and down and causing a scene, making the rest of the responsible "dish" owners look like fools. LIke the guy here who lost his privlege, thats right privlege to carry a clear container because he could not follow simple requests from a hostess at a party. He made a stink and is now making the rest us look like morons.

Make more sense now?

(Wait, how the hell does that make MORE sense? Oh well...)

Joe,

thanks for making Brown Bear's post much more understandable. As for OCing, to me it's all about what I'm wearing that day, if It's freakin cold like it is today, I go concealed. If it's 95 degrees out in the middle of summer, I will more than likely be wearing shorts and no shirt, so I'll be OCing.

I know you will say you could put a shirt on and cover it, but whats the point, most t-shirts are very light so you'll only be imprinting your FIREARM anyway...
