Ours states that despite state permit we will be removed from company property and the police will be called. can't even have it in the car on company property. I don't think the union would help either...

Yea. The police cannot legally do anything to you unless you refused to leave the building when asked if you are legally carrying your firearm.

My source is the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes Title 18, often refered to as the PA Crimes Code.

They can call the police all they want, but unless you've done something more, you've done nothing but break a company policy......not a law. Once the police find there was no law broken, they'll leave. The entire matter is a civil situation between the person and the company.

This is very similar to the situation where I work.

If they obtain information that you have a weapon in your car in the company parking lot, they'll demand to search your car. If you refuse you'll be terminated.

I reckon the lesson to be learned here is to keep your mouth shut when it's good for you.
Last place I worked had a no guns (even with LTCF) on company property policy. As long as you weren't a big mouth idiot...no problem.
I worked with one big mouth idiot. She kept her Glock 17 in the trunk (no idea if it was loaded, but I'd wager the mag was full). She even told two Customers about it when we took them to lunch.
That's the kind of fool who gets everyone in trouble.

The surprising thing is that company never really enforced the policy.

The whole point is that you are put on notice - and they have a signature to prove it -
