You obviously have no idea what the state of the art is re: forensic science.

So why wait? Get yourself fitted for an orange jumpsuit and wrist bracelets NOW because you're going to be wearing them.

Yea, I hope you take offense because I'm trying to get your attention. What you're suggesting is not only stupid, it's criminal as in "obstruction of justice" and "tampering with evidence".

No.

You keep yourself safe and call the police.

In regards to speaking with the police, wouldn't anything you say before your Miranda rights are read to you be a non issue in court? Would that include the 911 phone call?

Food for thought

1. Call 911: "There's been a shooting."

2. When the police arrive: "Thank God you're here, I'm the one who called you."

3. To police, regarding the asshole on the ground: "That man tried to murder me."

4. Politely wait for lawyer.

If I have to shoot someone I am not giving first aid. First off, I don't know a damn thing about it and second off I really don't want HIV or any other communicable disease. I assume there could also be some liability if some bacteria on my fingers infects his wounds, or something to the effect.

Ok, take your guns to the sheriffs office and tell the chief of police that you are too damn stupid to own guns, knifes, forks and sticks!!!

Good grief man, that mentality is responsible for so many irrational fears of guns. People like you are why our second amendment is under attack like it is.

Since I started this thread I now have another question maybe Rules can answer this
What constitutes a threat or fear for your life ? Must the BG be armed with something or can he be 7'3'' 300 LBs and your 5'2'' 112 lbs?

Oh I also agree it's stupid to plant anything on a perp. You'll lose. I don't think you have to plant anything if he's in your home (Castle Doctrine) at least in PA even though they don't call it that.

In order for the shooting to be ruled self defense the BG must have then means to harm, the intent to harm and you must not be able to escape (unless in your home). if the BG is pointing a gun at you, then shoot him! if he's facing the other direction (in your home) then get ready to draw but don't fire until he jumps at you with a knife or something.

I maybe wrong but in PA I don't think you have a duty to retreat from the BG while it's not a bad idea.
