Default 2 Philly Cops Shot - Stable Condidtion

Two more Philadelphia Police officers were shot tonight while serving warrants. From the news reports, both were shot in the buttock/legs and are in stable condition. My thoughts are with these officers and their families.

Of course the news reports are bringing up the 'lack' of gun control for being a contributing factor.

Damn is Philly really this bad?

Is there a total of officers shot / killed (active leos)?

If this keeps up (with officers) the anti gunners are going to really come out strong on this. They will be out strong this coming election year.

John Street is now blaming the shootings on the "insensitivities" of us gun owners. It seems the way to cut down on illegal guns is to infringe the rights of us legal owners.

Yes it is, the local ABC news channel just said 33 LEO's have been shot, not sure if it was shot at or shot, no mention of killed other than the recent Officer Cassidy.

The Mayor elect Nutter said he wants more reasonable gun control laws, like NJ & NY have. Then he says he supports the 2nd amendment and the problem is illegal guns not legal guns.

My head is still spinning

How many prior arrests/convictions do you think this criminal(s) will have, and how much of his original subsentence(s) do you think that he served?

Yeah I heard Nutter's comment about how he is for the 2nd ammendment but supports reasonable laws like NY & NJ. I will say this for Nutter it did take a direct question about this for him to bring up gun laws.

The ineffectual Street & Johnson can't divert attention from their own failings as leaders fast enough, just keep saying "It's all Harrisburg's fault, It's all Harrisburg's fault, It's all Harrisburg's fault, " and maybe no one will blame you.

It's amazing to me that Nutter can say that with a straight face. More reasonable like occupied NY and the Peoples Republic of NJ?? Really? Anyone who believes that NY & NJ have reasonable gun laws is no friend of the second amendment.

The anti's are going to come down hard on this too. Last night they broke from regular programming to show how two LEOs received non-fatal gunshot wounds while serving a narcotics warrant. Why do you suppose they went wall to wall on every network? They're trying to whip the public into a frenzy that something must be done about this "firearms epidemic." Scare tactics always work best. [/tinfoil hat]

No disrespect to the LEOs, my prayers are with them for a speedy recovery.

Much disrespect to the press and the other anti's.

Slim

Well said slim and I agree the media and anti's will have their way it's just a matter of time. The news people don't report the news any longer they create it.
