I'm in.

If we're thinking in the $500 range, maybe a Taurus Millenium Pro or a Ruger P95, a good holster and a few boxes of ammo?

How about an XD45 Compact 5in.?

I do think it should be a handgun, other than that I'll probably be in for just about anything.

I'll PM a dealer I know and see if he's interested in being the FFL.

OK a bit more direction for this thread.

I would like to raffle a NIB Ruger GP100 4” barrel.
Who can’t use a good .357?

Remember folks this is for a good cause. If you don’t like wheel guns, or .357’s, or whatever, you can sell it for a good profit.

A member of the forum has graciously offered his FFL services. If the winner can pick up the prize personally all fee’s will be covered. If not the shipping will be covered to the winners FFL for transfer. The winner would then be responsible for transfer fee’s and PIC’s. You can’t beat that.

All chances are $10 each.

Please PM me if interested. Your inquiry is non-committal at this point. If enough people are interested the raffle will proceed with rules and regs posted. I know a few of you have already expressed interest with a post. Please resubmit through a PM to keep everything straight. Any questions or concerns are welcome and will be publicly posted for everyone’s benefit, so please keep such inquiries in the thread.

This is going to be a little hard to work out, so please bear with me. This raffle will not take place unless enough individuals express interest. No one involved will be eligible for the prize. Please be aware that once a payment vehicle has been established (in fact I could use some advise with that aspect) if enough participants do not pony up the cash the raffle will not take place, and all money will be returned. My intention is not to end up getting stuck with the prize.

I have done a little research and it would appear that online raffles are illegal, and I’m concerned snail mail would involve the Fed’s if some obscure law is broken. I want to see this come to fruition and I am beginning to think the only legal way to do this will be to either hold one, or a number of events (like a group shoot/shoots) which is going to get horribly complicated, especially with the holidays and deer season upon us. Suggestions welcome.

Lets try and make this work!

If it's legal to have the raffle I'll cover the cost of the transfer and see about supplying the firearm at cost. Let me know if I can help.

if PAFOA can't do these now, I think it would be a good idear to get the ball rolling so they can have them in the future, maybe even one or two a month.. great, fun way to get members, money, and cheap guns. and also an ace you could pull out of your pocket when you get in a situation when you need to raise money for legal funds, medical bills whatever it may be.
