You guy's ever been in a ghetto area?

Do you realize what the asshat who shot the cop gained?

He just moved up to the top of his game.

He also just got another gun so more points.

He will now have more respect amongst his other gangbangers.

He will still be striving to do more evil than the next guy up the chain.

What does moving up the chain get ya? Respect and Security.

More people will fear you because your more of a badass.

It's not hard to see why "Street" and "Thug" is glorified. Low income people who've learned to feed off the system. That keeps them going, they listen to music and watch videos that glorify it. The illegal activities get them the next set up in the wealth chain w/o dealing with the tax bracket.

The saddest part of it all is, if he would have been shot, gone to jail and plea bargained down. When he got out he would have just slightly less street cred than what he got from killing this officer. Because he gained that he can take a shot. He also gained he can play the system. So he'd go back out and push it even farther.

Ask any criminal, they know most people are unarmed, they pay attention and avoid those who are armed. Why make work more hard?

This doesn't in particular deal with people of any color, or race etc. But more from where your from, if you come from the slums you have opportunity to "squad up" as is becoming a more common phrase anymore.
