Why is it, with the loud voice from those who would restrict or do away with ownership of firearms, that we do not hear loud and clear that we should all, as Americans, take full advantage of our Second Amendment rights. Threats from crime and terrorism should tell us that we need to protect ourselves and our Country and be on guard. We have the NRA and groups like them, but I always wonder why "we the people" do not hear the rally cry that I believe we should be hearing. Ever see the home alarm commercial that has the family hiding in the bedroom when the thug breaks in? Mom should be getting the shotgun and the kids should be handing her the ammo to load, but we never hear that. It seems to me that self defense is our most basic right and so many people choose to ignore the danger we could face every day. I know the media and the libs are where they are, but outside of a few thousand permit holders per state and those who hunt and keep firearms, there should be more of a movement in the direction of the Second Amendment of our Constitution. I will yeild the floor, or soapbox...Mike45

I think the reason we dont stand up and be loud, is because on a personal level, we are afraid to have to give up some rights.
For example: A person who is legally aloud to carry in location X, despite location X's policies to which the person is subjected, will not likely be an outspoken voice against such policies as this action would result in the forcible eviction from the location X and removal of any benefits derived from the actors presence at location X, or voluntary disarmament on behalf of the actor as a premtive measurement to prevent such discontinuation of benefits. |
