Question Safes for hand guns

Does anyone have a good website or other source for handgun safes ? The last site I knew of www.handgunsafe.com no longer makes them, it appears they will carrying some other products ! Lockboxes I think.

Thanks Ed

Can you be a little more specific as to what you are looking for?

yes, previously www.handgunsafe.com made safes specifically for handguns as opposed for safes for long guns they would fit in car consoles and aslo wall safes as well as under desks or on the floor under a bed , they seemed to fairly relible as you could open quickly with a combination of a few digits that would be pushed ( no keys or electronics neeeded) but they atre revamping their website so I dont have a former resource !

I should have been more specific! at any rate I am now in the market for a small safe to safely store two hand guns and I don't need a large safe that needs to havet floor reinforced and be installed by professionals!

Here is what handgunsafe.com looked like in June of this year, seemingly the last time it was updated before it headed in a different direction.

Yeah it had a nice range of small safes thta could be used anywhere in the home. I have been looking at other sites but they all seem to be electronic or they use a Key . That isn't a problem unless you are in a hurry! Hell I'm always in a hurry and don't have time to look for keys or replace batteries when they wear out.

Thanks for your help

Ed

Talking Re: Safes for hand guns

All depends on exactly what you're looking for.

Portability?

High Security?

Combination only, no key or electronic lock (batteries?)?

I use regular floor safes that'll need the concrete floor sawed out to move them...for portable security with handguns (especially when travelling into Communist territories like New York, New Jersey, Maryland, etc.), I use a Stack-On two-gun strongbox. It does have an electronic lock with key backup, and you'll need to change the batteries about every six-eight months.

That being said, when travelling, no cop in his right mind cannot say that I didn't have my guns SECURELY locked within the trunk.

I really like mine - three tries and out for bad combination tries, then must be opened with the key. I also have a GunVault double gun handsafe, but that model does eat batteries every three months.

www.stack-on.com is the site for those safes/strong boxes. You can get them at Gander, Cabela's, etc. I'm not impressed with their large safes, but the smaller ones are fairly decent for the money.

Good luck in the hunt....

Here is a thread about vehicle safes and lockboxes.

http://www.pafoa.org/forum/question-...endations.html

I think there are links on this thread to various lockbox/safes.
