After school was released he crossed back over and then the police arrested him. They at not time provided any reason he had to move. Other than they said so. There was probably 100 people standing around, reporter asks what about all the other people? Cops says "what people?" and arrested him. If he was tresspassing I don't understand how. |

Update: The charges have been dropped.
http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5j...y6yWgD8SSVSUO0 Summary: Prosecutors have dropped the charges against Jeffrey Weinsier, the TV reporter who was arrested carrying a gun near a high school. A cameraman caught the encounter on videotape. Assistant State Attorney Maggie Gerson admitted that the Weinsier was not on school grounds when police ordered him to leave, and further noted that "since the defendant was not trespassing, anything that was found on the defendant after he was arrested will be suppressed as a matter of law". The reporter said he has filed a formal complaint with the Miami-Dade Schools Police Department and is considering legal action. |
