its picnic time, its picnic time ! and your all invited !!!
and bring the kids too !

We have the "Babcock" shelter for Sunday Aug 16
on this map it is #5 behind the game preserve in section F-4
http://www.alleghenycounty.us/parks/maps/spmap.pdf

Cooking will start at 10AM with the hopes to have lunch served by noon,

Dishes welcome !

Please bring out some chairs, frisbees, and we need a volleyball net and ball.

We are holding this picnic with a dual purpose in mind
#1 Have fun in the sun and enjoy some food, fun, and fellowship
#2 Support FOAC

FOAC is THE grass roots PAC in PA fighting tooth and nail for your rights every day. We are all volunteers, and we dont pull any punches.

I will not have any mandatory anything, but it my strong suggestion that if you are not yet an FOAC member you sign up at the picnic. Membership for one year is $10. I will take your cash or check and have forms there.
Any additional donations are greatly appreciated, and I will collect those as well.

Sure, other states also have these jaw-dropping superstores for hunters and fishermen. But ours is a big 'un. Which is to say: This is a state where plenty of registered Democrats carry NRA cards. Maybe that's why we're also home to the fervent Firearms Owners Against Crime, which makes the NRA look like a pack of liberal bed-wetters. -Chis Satullo , philly.com

Great idea. We have a 10/10 canopy we can toss in the truck...since as I just talked to the gorilla and he's game on coming...so I guess we're in barring any unforseen circumstances.

Great Idea on the Chairs and Cover Tents... This party is BYOC (Bring your own Chair/Cover).

Unfortunately we will be unable to find a bigger pavillion this late in the game and we were pretty lucky to get one this nice and this big.

I also need to mention that there will be no alcohol permitted at the picnic.

No, sorry. The park closes at midnight. There really isn't even any camping nearby.

You could stay at my campground if you're looking to make it an overnight deal. BUT it looks like a 2 hour drive for you. Then another hour and a half down to the BBQ...

http://www.buttercup.org/

Dinner is on me Sat night if you come up!

BTW, the offer is open to anyone who would like to come out, as long as there are sites available at the campground!
