its picnic time, its picnic time ! and your all invited !!!
and bring the kids too !

We have the "Babcock" shelter for Sunday Aug 16
on this map it is #5 behind the game preserve in section F-4
http://www.alleghenycounty.us/parks/maps/spmap.pdf

Cooking will start at 10AM with the hopes to have lunch served by noon,

Dishes welcome !

Please bring out some chairs, frisbees, and we need a volleyball net and ball.

We are holding this picnic with a dual purpose in mind
#1 Have fun in the sun and enjoy some food, fun, and fellowship
#2 Support FOAC

FOAC is THE grass roots PAC in PA fighting tooth and nail for your rights every day. We are all volunteers, and we dont pull any punches.

I will not have any mandatory anything, but it my strong suggestion that if you are not yet an FOAC member you sign up at the picnic. Membership for one year is $10. I will take your cash or check and have forms there.
Any additional donations are greatly appreciated, and I will collect those as well.

Sure, other states also have these jaw-dropping superstores for hunters and fishermen. But ours is a big 'un. Which is to say: This is a state where plenty of registered Democrats carry NRA cards. Maybe that's why we're also home to the fervent Firearms Owners Against Crime, which makes the NRA look like a pack of liberal bed-wetters. -Chis Satullo , philly.com

Good food - free stuff! I'll donate what I can, but as a broke college student that may be the cost of my food
yep, hitch a ride. we gotta set up, so well put you to work.

as to your other concern, and for anyone else reading this.

come out and have fun !

our goal here isnt primarily to raise funds, it is to get people out, connected, and involved while having a good time and munchin down on grilled goodness with good people.
If you, or anyone, doesnt have the $10 for a FOAC membership, or cant bring a side dish we DONT CARE.

we just want you to show up

also, FOAC is holding a Turkey shoot with lots of fun events and a 2A Duck race for the kiddies the following weekend on the 23rd. Tickets will be on sale as well for those interested.

Anyone got one of those 50 gallon oil drum grills ?????

Hi everyone, I've been lurking here for awhile now and have learned alot. I have my ltcf and just renewed it for the first time last summer and I carry regularly. I'm not new to guns, but I'm ashamed to say that before I found this forum I was unaware of most of my rights including open carry. I would love to come to the picnic so I hope I can make it. I'm currently in Iraq and I'm scheduled to be home that week so we will have to wait and see. I look forward to meeting you all.

Also, I'm interested in taking the Utah safety course as soon as possible after I get home. I have family in Ohio so it will be great to finally be able to carry there.

How late is everyone planning on staying? The earliest I can arrive is at 1pm. Sundays aren't good for me.

we have the pavillion until midnight, dont think anyone will stay that late, but I expect we will be there well past whenever you arrive.

Anyone got an address that I can enter into Mapquest to see where the heck this place is. Nearest thing that keeps popping up is Bethel Park.

How funny would your flyer for a picnic at this park be, with THIS as logo at the top?
