its picnic time, its picnic time ! and your all invited !!!
and bring the kids too !

We have the "Babcock" shelter for Sunday Aug 16
on this map it is #5 behind the game preserve in section F-4
http://www.alleghenycounty.us/parks/maps/spmap.pdf

Cooking will start at 10AM with the hopes to have lunch served by noon,

Dishes welcome !

Please bring out some chairs, frisbees, and we need a volleyball net and ball.

We are holding this picnic with a dual purpose in mind
#1 Have fun in the sun and enjoy some food, fun, and fellowship
#2 Support FOAC

FOAC is THE grass roots PAC in PA fighting tooth and nail for your rights every day. We are all volunteers, and we dont pull any punches.

I will not have any mandatory anything, but it my strong suggestion that if you are not yet an FOAC member you sign up at the picnic. Membership for one year is $10. I will take your cash or check and have forms there.
Any additional donations are greatly appreciated, and I will collect those as well.

Sure, other states also have these jaw-dropping superstores for hunters and fishermen. But ours is a big 'un. Which is to say: This is a state where plenty of registered Democrats carry NRA cards. Maybe that's why we're also home to the fervent Firearms Owners Against Crime, which makes the NRA look like a pack of liberal bed-wetters. -Chis Satullo , philly.com

My wife (and most likely my Dog... who is a Boston Terrier named Mugsy) will be attending (for a little while anyway).

Figured I should mention that.

This is something I might be interested in.

Can someone post and address so those that have never heard of this park or have never been there can map it.

Oh, Shawn that PDF doesn't load for some odd reason.

Count me in too... I'll know what I can bring when the time gets nearer.

Michele:
Corrigan Dr & Sesqui Dr, South Park, pa, 15102

The shelter is on Sesqui Dr between Corrigan Dr and McConkey Rd

For those who are... coordinate-ly inclined it's one of the shelters near 40.307931,-80.007855

Wink Re: South Park picnic to support FOAC

Will you give me a ride? If so, not only am I there - I'm there to hand out free liberty oriented bumper stickers thanks to the guys at www.libertystickers.com

Good food - free stuff! I'll donate what I can, but as a broke college student that may be the cost of my food

YAY! I told the girl I work with that with no planning I could definitely still find someone to grill for me. Also don't forget they just opened that stupid "walking/cycling bridge" next to the hot metal bridge. I'm definitely going there to watch the fireworks! Anyone else is welcome!
