Official PAFOA Statement on the Brutal Murder of Pittsburgh Police Officers
As the investigation into the brutal murder of Pittsburgh police officers continues, it is becoming apparent that the murderer may have participated in many online communities. Recent news sources indicate that he may have been a registered user of the Pennsylvania Firearms Owners Association open discussion forum. PAFOA members firmly condemn criminal actions, and our thoughts and prayers are with the injured officers and the families of those who fell in the line of duty.
There are hundreds of thousands of lawful gun owners in Pennsylvania who join the Pittsburgh community in mourning this tragedy and condemn the actions of an obviously troubled person. We all look forward to swift justice in this case against a man who should not be counted among the ranks of law-abiding citizens interested in peacefully defending their Constitutional rights.
PAFOA will cooperate with any law enforcement investigations, though it appears that none of the posts or comments allegedly tied to the shooter violate any laws or indicate any intention to violate laws.
