I recently joined this site to help me out with my newly found hobby. I have had an interest in firearms for quite a while but never had a chance to really get into things. This all changed on a recent trip to Las Vegas where I went to The Gun Store. A fantastic place that rents out firearms for you to try. After shooting a Glock 17 and a Ruger P95 (their recommendations for a beginning shooter) I was hooked. I have bought myself a Ruger 22/45 Mark III to ease myself into this wonderful hobby. With this I will hopefully get the basics of proper shooting locked down before moving up to larger caliber handguns. I have already created a list of potential future purchases. I look forward to absorbing the wealth of knowledge available here. I may even attend a PMSC event once I am more confident in my shooting.

Hi, joined the forum the other day. I've been living in MA. for quite awhile now but did live in Library, PA for several years and belonged to the Carrick Sportsman Club. I do visit the Hamburg-Reading-Ephrata area at least once a year, maybe looking for a place for the future for retirement, though likely a bit further north or west of that area (my Dad was from the West Chester area too close to Philly for me). Looking for some places to shoot while in that Reading area of PA, maybe a club to join who will accept a member who might only be there a couple of times per year for now.

what's up everyone, I been lurking on this forum for a while finally signed up. I am in Philly, I been shooting shotguns and rifles for a while. I Just got in to handguns recently.

 Greetings, New member from the Harleysville/Green Lane area. I have also checked in from time to time, but just signed up. Looking forward to lots of great reading and getting to know you all. I mostly collect mil-surp, but also antique wheel guns, mouse guns, shotguns, old guns, parts guns, most guns, all guns! Thanks, Mark
