Talking Hello feels like home
Hello my name is Jim and I have been around guns my whole life but never owned one untill now. I really have 4 guns a Kel-tec pf9 my CC gun a MPA30a-t that was an impaulse buy an old Mossburgh and sons 22 semi auto from 1951, and some old .38 revolver my grandfather had for as long as anyone can rember. Well I am looking for a nice gun club near the Pittsburgh International Airport area. Can any one suggest one and maybe let me go along as a guest once or twice to see how it is?

Jim,

Welcome to the board. You should check out the Coraopolis Sportsmen's Association. It's just off 51 near I-79. $125 to join ($75 initiation fee and $50 for first year) then $50 per year after that. They have an outdoor 100m range and an indoor 50ft range. I won't be able to shoot for about a month but if you are still looking then, I'd be glad to show you around.

If you stop in to look around, no one will mind but you need to be with a member to shoot.

Thanks Mike i was looking into that one not to far for me. I just heard it is super busy all the time. It would be cool to go shoot I always go by myself, let me know when you wanna go.

Hello there everyone!

I'm not new to this board, but I figured it was long over due for me to say hi.

I'm a big fan of Aks and 1911s along with any military type firearms. I've been collecting since I was 18 starting with my Norinco SKS, a 870 Wingmaster and then my 1st handgun- an Izhevskii "hi-cap" Makarov.

I just obtained my LTCF last month, and now cc my Springfield 1911 UC.

Hi everyone. I just signed up last night. I grew up around guns had a few rifle/shotguns growing up but just got my first hand gun about a month ago. I'm a father of 5 and stepfather to 2. I'm looking forward to learning more about the forums here and maybe make a few new friends. I don't always post a lot in forums unless I have something usefull to add so if I'm quiet in here it's because I don't want to look like a dumb@$$
