I've always had a way with words and would be willing to help with wording things as long as I have a general idea of what point we want to get across. I can be reached at: dmg1969 [@] yahoo [dot] com.

As far as what would make me pick up a flyer...I would say a phrase similar to "Interested In Preserving Your RIGHT To Bear Arms?" in bright red along with a photo of a pile of (what is assumed to be) confiscated firearms. The photo could be from some sort of gun buy-back program in the U.S.. Another thought we be if any photos existed of the gun confiscation which occurred in Germany.

Just a few thoughts.

Altho I'm not the right person to do the creative work. I will certainly diseminate it as much as possible.

I'm actually really liking this idea. From a psychological perspective it's great because it is a call-to-action from the person. "Hey buddy, you like your guns? Well what are you going to do to keep 'em!?"

Once you've come up with something, I will be glad to help disseminate them in my area.

Good stuff, please be advised that the Nazi & gun control connection is very often used.

Would there be any interest in Katrina photos? I don't have anything directly related to guns, but it might (subtley) get the message across now, as it did then.

I don't know if I would even target it solely towards preserving our rights. That may get some folks thinking we're gun "loonies". I have an idea that's hard to put into words, but I'll work on it and try to post something.

Personally, I think making it for gun clubs and gun shops is preaching to the choir.

A while back, there was a brochure that bullseye had out that was sponsored by the the Allegheny Sheriff... Basic safety of firearms, I was seeing these every where, even at the GPGC. Had the basics you needed to know about owning and shooting a pistol/revolver... The mere fast it was from the "sheriff's" office even tho Bullseye printed and advertized on them made it that even the competing gun clubs had copies around.

Some stores allow clinics in them, I know Sportsmans warehouse has them often, maybe some thing like that where what we do actually helps promote their sales is some thing to look at, they supply the equipment, the space we supply the people.

Ok this was very quick. The pictures should be different to protect from copyrights, the wording could be better, but you'll get the idea. It is a .doc I don't have anything to do pdf's. I had to zip it cause it's over the 19.5kb limit.

That's kind of the whole reason behind the idea and this forum...preserving our right to keep and bear arms. What else would you have it be about?

My personal opinion is that it's not aggressive enough. While we are also about education, unless someone is already a gun owner, they probably won't join to learn about guns. Therefore, you are left targeting (pardon the pun) existing gun owners. What's the best way to reach them? By playing to their dxesire not to lose their 2nd Amendment rights. That was the thinking behind my idea.

P.S. I also like the post-Katrina gun grabbing idea. Anything having to do with confiscation would be a good idea for a visual.

Dave
