I thought this might prove very useful to our forum members.
I just found this on the net, Im not a lawyer by any means, use at your own judgement/risk. Just fill in the blanks and print. Quote:

Where's the Assault Weapon Disclaimer?? How am I supposed to know what they might want back??
Sorry, I'm just all freaked-out about the new trend. I'm getting a complex. Last edited by luckyned7; February 23rd, 2007 at 11:48 PM. Reason: Man-I'm gonna get nailed for my smart remark abt Philadelphia |

Just to be clear, in PA nothing of the such is not needed for FTF purchases of rifles. Just hand over the cash and take it home. Use this only if you want for your personal preference.

Thanks I will use it. Not required but good idea to document who, when and where.

I may have missed it, But it would be a good idea to ask for the buyers Driver License and record it on the form. Afterall every legally purchased firearm I ever bought, That was the first thing I was asked for.

is there anyone out there who could give a brief overview of the documentation requirements when buying different types of guns from private sellers in PA?
for instance - when transferring a handgun in PA, my understanding is that there must be transferred via an FFL, but that this is not necessary for a long gun. what other rules are out there regarding private gun sales in PA? when is documentation required or not required? I have read lots of good information from other posts in the forum, but I thought that it might be a good idea to put this info in a classifieds sticky, since the folks here are probably likely to find that info very helpful... does anyone want to post something? (with the understanding that it's a guideline - not law, and everyone in a transaction is responsible to check the law for themselves!) |
