things to think about posting here.

1. planning on attending? number of guests with you?

we will be renting the range, therefore there is no limit on the number of nonclub members that can come....and shoot.
this is not confermed yet, though there should not be an issue.

2. willing to contribute anything to cause? which is not necessary to attend.
a "tip" jar will be about should anybody feel the holiday spirit.

it's still plenty early in the process, and there's hardly a head count yet. so there are plenty of things on the table, that could get put on the table...
about the only sure things right now are one bird and it's bath tub.
the club has a grill on sight, though we need to supply it's fuel.

for those not familar with the range. it has six stations under roof...sorta.
2x 25yrd, this range can be anywhere from 2-20yrds as long as no other ranges are in use.
2x 50yrd
2x100yrd
pretty much any gun goes, though not selective fire.
.50cal center fires are still permitted last i heard.
safe handling is REQUIRED along with a pocketful of common sense.
one rule that is strongly enforced is limiting rapid fire to three round "bursts".

as things envolve this thread will be updated.

we do this a few times a year and every time it gets better and better.
for chill'n at a range, the food is pretty bang'n.

I would like to stay local and not have to ship it. I bought this model 28 (357 Highway patrolman) which had a 45 acp model 25 conversion done to it(different barrel and cylinder). Originally the barrel was a little cocked to the left so Cabelas took it back and had it repaired. I got it back and shot it a couple of times and it worked great. Yesterday as I was shooting it the action just got real tight. I had originally thought I had a bent moon clip but it was tight without a loaded cylinder. On second thought we should wait until after deer season, we know that some of the Fudds will drive right past if they see more than one or two cars in the parking lot and get pissed off and complain that they couldn't get on the range. We don't want to have a go-round with Whats-his-name or anyone else like him again this year.
Let's look at the weekend of December 12-13 or 19-20, there shouldn't be any conflict there as long as the weather is decent. A vat of hot oil isn't very forgiving of water, be it rain or snow, and NO we will NOT use the deep fryer in the garage, you should see the flames Zack can produce with that thing. :eek::eek: WOW!
If we have to we might consider the shelter where the block shoot happens though.

Any thoughts or suggestions?
Brad, were you serious about donating a turkey?
If I entice Zack with beer I'm sure he'll oblige with his fryer.
We can take up a collection to rent the clubhouse for the day. planning on doing rifles on the single stage as well as using it to size and deprime pistols.
i know there is at least one of yinz that will nag me about not getting a progressive. well that's not going to happen. i'm just not in that much of a hurry. besides i don't like automatic transmissions in my trucks, why would i want one in my press.:p i like reloading, i find it relaxing.
i could keep up with the thompson on the single stage, what more could i need.....besides a 9mm that doesn't work(a good defence is a strong offense)?
i'm the kind of guy, that till it's all said and done, has a press setup for each caliber.
